Question by Ceducerwitheyestokill T: What is the difference between Windows web hosting and Linux web hosting?
Which is better for performance and security? I don’t know anything about PHP, website design, database, etc. I will be using a template design from MS Publisher. What would you recommend?

There isn’t much of a difference, and in your case, you won’t need to worry about what kind of webhosting you get.
If you’re looking to use Microsoft-based software to implement your site, Windows web hosting might be slightly better, but really, you don’t have to worry about it.

Question by Ken: Hosting Service and Colocation Service?
Recently, I often hear Hosting Service and Colocation Service by IT network solution companies or telephone companies.
Could someone please explain what Hosting Service and Colocation Service are.
Also, it would be greatly appreciated if you could let me know the most appropriate book for this area.

Hosting is generally taken to mean the company manage the system for you – they provide it, mend it, maybe apply patches and take backups.
Co-located means you rent rack space.
